Off Season Program

Fall 2026 Boys Off Season Program – Registration Open

Players must be registered to a 2026-2027 CSA team to participate in the CSA Off-Season Programs.

Open to U15 to U19 Boys currently participating in CSA Competitive programs.
Season: August 10 through November 1

Charlotte Soccer Academy will be offering their Off-Season Program for the U15-U19 boys (08/01/2007-7/31/2012) again this fall. This program was developed for players that are not participating in fall school sports programs so that they have a place to play and develop during that time.

The program will run from August 10th through November 1st (12 weeks) and the format will feature two practices a week as well as in-house games. The in-house games will be a small-sided version, either 7v7 or 9v9 (depending on number of players). This format will be helpful for player development in terms of more touches on the ball and more decision making in smaller spaces. The players will also participate in the CSA tournaments scheduled for August 22nd & 23rd and October 31st/November 1st, conditional on sufficient enrollment.

CSA will host two separate programs

  • South Program (Current CSA Charlotte, Uptown/Matthews, Palisades/York players)
  • North Program (Current CSA North/Huntersville

Cost will be $380 per player. Price includes two training sessions per week for 12 weeks, coaching, coach travel expenses, field usage fee, referee fees, admin fees and entry fees for two tournaments. There are no team fees.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact the DOC!
South Program: Scott Ginn
North Program – Matt Denton

Policy for Player Withdrawal
Individual cancellation requests for the Off Season Program must be received by email by August 31, 2026. A pro-rated portion of your OSP fees will be applied to your regular season competitive fees.

11U-19U Boys and Girls

USYS Competitive

USYS Competitive soccer is the first step on the CSA Player Development Pathway.  Players moving from recreational soccer typically begin at this competitive level.

USYS soccer is offered at each section of the club, with most sections forming teams for boys and girls 11U-19U. New and smaller sections may have fewer teams or combine teams with other sections.CSA forms teams at each of our locations based on the results of the tryouts held in the spring of each year. Tryouts are open to all players. Tryouts allow the directors to identify an appropriate team for each player that will provide an opportunity for development and growth. Following tryouts, CSA will present qualified players with an offer of a position on a competitive team based on their demonstrated level of ability. Players and families are made aware of the team’s planned playing level, coach assignment and travel/tournament expectations prior to player commitment. Once the player accepts his position on the team, he is committed to CSA and that team for the entire playing year (August – May).

USYS Competitive teams train a minimum of two nights per week; more advanced teams may practice three nights per week. In addition, players are strongly encouraged to attend the free supplemental training sessions to further improve personal skills and to attend off-season camps offered by or endorsed by CSA. Games are primarily on Saturdays and Sundays, although mid-week evening games are possible. 11U-14U teams participate in both Fall and Spring seasons, high school age teams (15U-19U) participate only the designated off-season for public high schools.

Competitive teams 11U through 19U participate in leagues administered by either North Carolina Youth Soccer Association or South Carolina Youth Soccer Association. Both state associations offer several levels of competition. CSA’s USYS teams can expect to attend 2-3 tournaments per season, which includes local competitions, out-of-town tournaments and a State Cup series if appropriate. CSA’s higher-level teams can expect to travel more frequently and to more distant tournaments to ensure the highest levels of competition and exposure.
