National 1 League (N1)
The National 1 League (N1) program combines the former National League (NL) and National Premier League (NPL) programs for 13U-19U into a new unified national platform integrated with the ECNL. It is the second progression in the CSA Player Development Pathway offering higher levels of training, competition and exposure to college coaches through regional league play and national showcases.
The National 1 League (N1) program is the second step on the CSA Player Development Pathway, one level above USYS Competitive. Teams are based in the Matthews/Uptown (Black) and North/Huntersville (White) sections and bring together players from across the club who want to have fun, learn, and develop their soccer skills at a higher level. Top teams in 11U & 12U are the developmental teams for the National 1 League program.
13U-19U boys and girls teams participate in highly competitive environments where they can showcase their talent and get additional exposure for collegiate opportunities. All CSA N1 teams will participate in the Carolina Premier Soccer League (CPSL) against clubs across North Carolina and participate in showcases and/or post-season playoff events.The “home” section’s top 11U & 12U USYS Competitive program players form the developmental teams for each program.
