Congratulations to the OrthoCarolina Players of the Month for January!

Jaime Cuellar III, 2015 CSA Charlotte Pre-ECNL: Jaime thoroughly deserves this nomination. He started the full season as a middle of the pack player on the Pre-ECNL Boys 2nd team. As the season progressed, it became clear that he had a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and a determination to improve and succeed. He leads by example, setting high standards for himself and others in every practice and in every game. He shows great passion and love for the game which has led to his promotion onto the Pre-ECNL 1st team this past weekend for their tournament in Jacksonville, FL where he has quickly established himself within the group with a series of impressive performances. Well done Jaime, you certainly are proof that hard work and desire to improve pays off. Bryn Lloyd, Coach

Will Flynn, 2009 Charlotte SA Blue ECNL RL: Will was instrumental in the ECNL Florida Showcase where the 2009 ECNl RL Boys went undefeated. He is a leader by example and performed admirably in all games scoring one of the goals in the final game in a 2-1 win. Will is a technical player with high soccer IQ and is comfortable on the ball in all areas of the field. He has a wand of a left foot and his passing range is exceptional. His character and work rate make for a complete player that can play many different positions on the field. A team first player with a high ceiling. Great job.

Abby Goldean, 08/07 Charlotte SA National ECNL G: Abby has been a solid defender all year in leading the U18/19 Charlotte SA Girls 08/07 ECNL team defensively leading to some big wins in the Mid-Atlantic Conference and at ECNL Events.  Abby, the senior SMU commit, is usually tasked with shutting down the opposing team’s dangerous attacking threat with her excellent speed and 1v1 defending. Abby has been one of the top defenders in the Mid-Atlantic Conference this year and will attend and play at SMU in the Fall of 2026.

Maddie Tuschong, 2011 CSA North King G: Maddie’s showed great skill and determination all season, particularly during the last tournament where she played out of position. She was a key contributor to nearly every goal for the team and was a constant threat to the opposition.
