U13 – U19 Boys
ECNL Regional League
The ECNL Regional League Boys teams are the third-level teams for boys U13 through U19 at the club, providing an advanced level of training and consistently competitive games to maximize player development. At each age group U13-U19, teams are formed in both the Charlotte section and the North/Huntersville section that draw elite players from all areas of the club.
Our ECNL Regional teams participate in the ECNL Carolinas Regional League which is made up of teams from North and South Carolina. The reduced level of travel required for regular season games in the Regional League will allow teams to participate in nationally attended showcases such as the Jefferson Cup, NCFC Showcase and/or Disney Showcase. This aligns with our program goal to continue to provide our players with the broadest exposure in national events that attract the most college coaches.
ECNL Regional U13 and U14 teams will have a fall and spring season; U15 – U19 have a spring ECNL season only to allow them to participate on high school teams. Teams practice three times per week and are provided additional training support in the form of functional (position specific) sessions from our senior staff and performance training with our partners, Architech Sports Performance. In addition to the advanced programming, players on the Elite Program teams are constantly being reviewed and evaluated by the ECNL National program staff and Directors, establishing a pathway for progressing to periodic sessions and potential games for our ECNL National platform teams.
ECNL Regional Boys Staff
Steve Magee is the overall director of the ECNL Regional Program at CSA. Coach Magee implemented a continued player development curriculum that has resulted in many players advancing to CSA’s National Programs. The ECNL Regional teams. Stephen Chaconas and Andrew Steedman provide assistance to Coach Magee for our North/Huntersville teams. Please reach out to them with program questions or interest.
