College Recruiting and Player Development
CSA is committed to assisting our players in continuing their playing career in college and beyond. Our Director of Player Development and College Recruiting, Phil Hindson, is one of the most decorated men’s coaches in the country in college and youth soccer. He was a college coach for twenty years, including two stints at Winthrop University, a six-year stay at Clemson University and Head Coach at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. During his college coaching career, Hindson reached the NCAA tournament at each of his college destinations, including a Final Four appearance while at Clemson. Ian Carry, our Goalkeeping Program Director, also brings an extensive college soccer background to our college bound athlete placement team. He is the former Head Coach of the University of Kentucky Women's Soccer Program in addition to his experience in Ireland and Scotland. In the fall of 2023, Charlotte Soccer Academy transitioned to SportsRecruits as our college recruitment resource. CSA provides this platform for all U15-U19 players in the club. At the beginning of every fall season, players who are either entering the U15 age group or new to CSA will receive an email directing them how to set up their account. Returning players U16 and older should already have access to their account and the ability to create their profile. Please read the additional resources below that will help answer many of the questions that you may have regarding SportsRecruits.
