KICK IN CAMPAIGN

Overview of The CSA Kick In Campaign

The CSA Kick In Campaign was originally established as a dedicated fundraising initiative to support the development of the club’s headquarters and primary training facility, the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex. Its initial purpose was to unite the CSA community around a shared goal: creating a high-quality, centralized home that could support the club’s long-term growth and provide players with top-tier playing and training environments.

Over time, the Kick In Campaign evolved to reflect the expanding needs of CSA’s diverse sections and geographic footprint. As the club grew, so did the demand for quality facilities across all areas of operation. The campaign broadened its scope to ensure that fundraising efforts directly supported facility improvements throughout the club—both at complexes owned by CSA, such as the CSA North Complex, Harris Teeter Park, and the Palisades, and at partner facilities where CSA teams train and compete.

Today, Kick In funds are used to enhance the quality, safety, and accessibility of fields across the club. This includes projects such as installing turf at select school sites, adding or upgrading field lighting at Uptown school fields, and making ongoing improvements to existing complexes. As new fields come online and others require upgrades, the Kick In Campaign remains a critical investment in CSA’s mission to provide all players and teams—across every section—the best possible playing environments. The campaign continues to ensure that facility quality keeps pace with the club’s growth and commitment to excellence.

Current Kick In Campaign Projects

The Kick In Campaign continues to directly support strategic facility projects that expand access, improve field quality, and ensure long-term sustainability across all CSA sections. Current and upcoming initiatives include:

  • Harris Teeter Complex at the Palisades
The club is in the process of turfing two fields at the Harris Teeter Complex at the Palisades. These upgrades will significantly increase field availability, improve playability in all weather conditions, and reduce long-term maintenance demands.
  • CSA North Complex Lighting Upgrades
Kick In funds are being used to upgrade lighting at the CSA North Complex, enhancing safety, extending usable field hours, and supporting training and match play for a growing number of teams.
  • Gaston Day School Partnership (Belmont/Gastonia Area)
CSA has partnered with Gaston Day School at its newest location in the Belmont/Gastonia area to assist with the development of multiple turf, lighted fields on campus. Through this partnership, CSA will have priority field usage outside of school activities, providing much-needed high-quality facilities in this rapidly growing region.
  • Eastland Mall Development (Matthews, Indian Trail, and Uptown Sections)
CSA is nearing finalization of a partnership with the City of Charlotte to develop the Eastland Mall site into a six-field turf complex. This location will serve as a primary game venue for 11v11 teams (13U–19U) in the Matthews, Indian Trail, and Uptown sections, significantly enhancing game-day consistency and overall player experience.

Together, these projects reflect the ongoing evolution of the Kick In Campaign—ensuring that as CSA continues to grow, all players and teams have access to high-quality, reliable facilities that support development, competition, and community engagement.
