REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR GIRLS OFF-SEASON PROGRAM – SPRING 2025

Players must be registered to a 2024-2025 CSA team to participate in the CSA Off-Season Programs.

Open to 15U/2010, 16U/2009 and 17U/2008, and 18U/2007 girls in CSA Competitive programs.
Season: January 20 through April 27, 2025 (12 Weeks)

Charlotte Soccer Academy will be offering their Off-Season Program for the 15U – 18U (2010-2007 birth year) girls in the spring season. This is for players that are not participating in spring high school sports programs so that they have a place to play and develop during that time.

The program will run from January 20th through April 27th (12 weeks) and the format will feature two practices a week as well as in-house games. The in-house games will be a small-sided version, either 7v7 or 9v9 (depending on number of players). This format will be helpful for player development in terms of more touches on the ball and more decision making in smaller spaces. The players will participate in CSA’s Puma Kings Cup (January 25/26 and the CSA First Strike Tournament (April 26/27) as 11 v 11 teams.

CSA will host a program in the South area (for Charlotte, Uptown and Matthews players) as well as a program in the North (for North/Huntersville players).

Cost will be $375 per player. Price includes two training sessions per week for 12 weeks from January 20th through April 23rd, coaching, coach travel expenses, field usage fee, referee fees, admin fees and entry fees for two tournaments. There are no team fees.

If you have any questions about the program, please contact the DOC!

Residential College Showcase Camp

Wingate International Soccer Academy

Charlotte Soccer Academy continues our partnership with the soccer program at Wingate University, Wingate International Soccer Academy (WISA) and its College Showcase Camps. The partnership aims to provide CSA players the fantastic opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious college showcases in the country. The Wingate Soccer programs has been voted as one of the top camps in the United States by MLS for over ten years running.  In addition to winning the Men’s NCAA DII National Championship the Fall of 2016, both the men’s and women’s program has won multiple conference championships. Wingate Soccer Camps give players the opportunity to experience life as a collegiate athlete and train under coaches from different universities.

“We are excited about our continued partnership with the WISA Collegiate Showcase Camp,” said Brad Wylde, CSA Executive Director. “The partnership adds to our many existing programs that we offer throughout the summer and fits CSA’s philosophy of providing opportunities to our members. These camps provide the player who has the ambition to play at the collegiate level an enormous advantage in the recruitment process.”

09 CSA Elite 64 Clinch USYS National Championship Ticket!

09 CSA Elite 64 Girls competed in Tampa, Florida February 24-27 at the National League P.R.O. event and have advanced to the USYS National Championship that will take place this summer. 09 CSA Elite 64 G finished their regular season undefeated in the Elite 64 Southeast Conference and automatically qualified for Elite 64 Conference Playoffs in January. With great success at Playoffs, the team advanced to the NL P.R.O. event held last weekend in Tampa, FL where they advanced to the USYS National Championships. On their road to the USYS National Championships, 09 CSA Elite 64 G competed against tough competition: Steel City FC 09 Elite, Libertyville FC 09 Elite, Coppermine FC 09 Elite, NEFC NL Pro Elite, WNY Flash Rochester Elite and Club Ohio Dayton Elite 09 G.

With excitement, Catey Stewart, CSA Elite 64 Program Director, states, “This is a wonderful accomplishment for our team and our coaching staff, Dan Dudley and Johnathan Brabson, our Elite 64 Program, CSA and NCYSA! We are thrilled to clinch a spot and will be focused on going to Orlando in July with an opportunity to win a USYS National Championship. This journey and experience will be remembered forever with these young ladies! The level of play was very competitive, and each event was run very smooth. The number of college coaches that were present on the sidelines, watching every game, was impressive. This showed the great exposure these players have and what opportunities may be in their future given the level of play they are currently competing in!”

CSA Executive Director, Brad Wylde, states, “To have representation at the Elite 64 National Championship is a phenomenal achievement for our Elite 64 Program. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Catey Stewart, Elite 64 Program Director, Dan Dudley, head coach and Uptown Sectional Director, Johnathan Brabson, staff coach, and all of the players for this accomplishment. I wish them the best of luck as they bid for a national title. This achievement continues to solidify CSA to be one of the strongest clubs in the region and the country from top to bottom.”

09 CSA Elite 64 G will participate in the USYS National Championship that will take place in Orlando, Florida July 23-28 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. The USYS competitive season started with approximately 185,000 players on 10,000 teams from all 54 USYS State Associations and will be narrowed down to one champion at the 13U-19U boys and girls age groups. Qualifying for the USYS National Championship is a remarkable achievement for this team.

Players of the Month – March 2023

Congratulations to our OrthoCarolina Players of the Month for March!

Cristian Chamorro – 08 Charlotte SA National Academy ECNL

Cristian is composed and calm in every situation and shows great technical ability to solve problems and make the correct decisions in every phase of the game. In possession he is a key ingredient in the style of play the team adopts. Out of possession he reads the game extremely well and is a solid defensive player. He shows great promise and is developing into a very well polished player.

Nora Breault – 10 Charlotte SA White RL
Nora’s development and game contribution is in parallel with the standards to which she holds herself to during the week in training. She is the perfect mix of a player who competes in both scenarios and manages to always smile and have fun doing it. You often hear that things slow down for players when they are able to see ahead and Nora allows herself to have multiple options to make decisions before receiving a pass. Her teammates push her to the limits and she makes sure to take full advantage of those daily challenges and opportunities.  Nora is an “A” honor roll student, basketball player and in her schools orchestra, so she has a fantastic balance of activities she strives to always compete in! She has scored 5 goals in march and 10 in 2023 so far!

Will Caicedo – 11 CSA Charlotte Liga
William had an outstanding game against the 2011 King team, making several crucial saves to keep the score tied at halftime. William had an outstanding game against the 2011 King team, making several crucial saves to keep the score tied at halftime. He is the first player to pick up a teammate when they’re down. He is a leader in a position (goalkeeper) that demands you to be focused at all times.

Siena Carbuto – 10 CSA Uptown/Matthews Select
Siena has been working tremendously hard both on and off the field and continues to improve each week. She is a leader by example, has a great attitude and is a great teammate. We are very proud of her continued improvement and hard work!

Players of the Month – February 2023

Congratulations to our OrthoCarolina Players of the Month for February!

George Berube, 07 ECNL RL White: George is coming off a brilliant performance in the previous match, where he recorded two goals, and two assists against a team that we had not beaten or tied in the previous two years. George has been playing out of position due to a long-term injury to another player, carrying a huge load for the team and performing in a role that is not his primary position. His competitive attitude has also helped boost the culture of the team.

Harper Smith, 10 ECNL RL Blue: Since we began playing this spring, Harper has been one of the most consistent players throughout all training sessions and games. She is able to play multiple positions on the field and is a very good leader with her peers. Her mindset for games is fantastic but it is her training mentality that really sets her apart.

Cole Sullivan, 10 Palisades King: Cole has shown great skill as a left winger by taking on players one on one along with the ability to finish from almost anywhere. Cole has shown great improvement on work ethic to get back on the defensive end of the ball and his overall game over the season has improved. I am excited to see him develop further as a player.

Cailin Whitlock, 11 Pre-ECNL Elite 1: Cailin is Player of the Month because of her outstanding performances this past month. In addition to outstanding performances with her team she also played up an age group with the 2010 Charlotte SA ECNL Girls and had a very strong performance versus NC Fusion and Beach FC. Congratulations!
